Measure Description: Percentage of children, age 0-20 years, who have had tooth decay or cavities during the measurement period

Denominator: Children, age 0-20 years, with a visit during the measurement period

Numerator: Children who had cavities or decayed teeth

Measure Calculation in ChARM EHR: AUTOMATIC

This measure is automatically calculated in ChARM EHR based on the diagnosis ‘Dental Caries’.'

Patients age below 20 years and diagnosed with "Dental Caries" (Example ICD 10 codes: K02.3, K02.52, K02.7 ) are included in the numerator of this measure.

Denominator Exclusion: You can manually exclude a patient from denominator, based on the conditions listed below under 'Encounter > MU' section.
